Mar 22, 2019 BurningHalo Mixed Feelings Preliminary (20/? eps) I'll be real, If you have every read anime about magic and mystical other worlds then you will find NOTHING of novelty here. The same tropes and cliches from an overpowered protagonist with the need to explain absolutely everything coupled with his own harem and bad guys who stroke his ego at every turn. It is not mediocre. It even managed to get a smile and a "hey that looks kind of cool" from me. It follows the identical template that 99% of isekai follows, and that also means it suffers from all the same problems. In the first few chapters you have the MC learning about the world and testing his powers which is fun, but that's where the good part ends. Like clockwork, the MC becomes the most powerful existence in the universe. No buildup. No drama. No conflict of any kind. Random kid becomes god and has to show the entire world that he is god.
